Greetings from the Ambassador

Welcome to the Danish Embassy in Somalia. I am the Danish Ambassador to Somalia, and together with my colleagues here at the Embassy, I handle Danish interests in the country and work to continue and strengthen Denmark and Somalia’s longstanding and valued partnership.

Through our Country Program and the Peace and Stabilisation Program, Denmark has for many years supported Somalia’s progression towards stability and prosperity. Together with Somali-, international- and multilateral partners, governments and civil society we will continue to work on areas of mutual interest such as reconciliation, reforms, resilience, peace and stabilization, sustainable growth, gender equality and economic development

Prior to my current position, I was posted as the Danish Ambassador to Burkina Faso, covering much of the Sahel region that – much like Somalia – struggles with challenges such as security, migration, displacement and climate change. Together with my colleagues, I look forward to support and collaborate with Somalia on some of these critical topics.
