New Danish strategy for development cooperation and humanitarian assistance

The new Danish strategy for development cooperation and humanitarian action – The World 2030 – was settled 18. January 2017. The strategy describes how Denmark with the Sustainable Development Goals as a starting point will shape its development cooperation in a way that will help free the individual and his/her potential in the developing countries.

"The vision of Denmark’s development policy is a more secure, free, prosperous, sustainable and just world where each individual, now and in the future, is able to take charge of his/her own life and provide for himself/herself and his/her family. Denmark will work to realise this vision through active development cooperation that contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals for everyone by 2030 – that fights poverty, creates equal opportunities for everyone and thus also contributes to reducing inequality."
